A good program if you work by yourself. The paid versions allow for up to 10,000 customers. If there is a downside, it's that the program takes up a lot of hard drive space. What it is is a simplified estimate producing, invoicing, check collecting, expense listing, and check register program. For a small to mid-size business that does not need all the bells and whistles, it provides a good value. The program allows for minimal customizing of the forms but should be enough for most small businesses.
If you need more than just the basics, move up to a full function accounting program. Quickbooks Simple Start 2008 is an excellent product for what it is. The free version of the program for 2010 provides the same service but does not allow more than 20 costumers to be listed. Employees would require another module or moving up to Quickbooks Pro.
its free at the quickbooks site.DO NOT PURCHASE.Also, it doesnt do much and when you need to do something, it prompts you to purchase WASTE
The title should say it all.instead it is hard to follow and tedious.nothing easy about it.has features but hard to work.
The help life as a waste of time. Could not get this product to override the old Quickbooks program we had in past years. I ended up using our old program for 2008 books again.
Their c/s department is very pushy when you call and insists that you need Quick Books Pro which is a lot more expensive. Great software though and very easy to use. Would give this software a 5 if it was not required that you call their customer service to get an activation code so that you can run the software. Getting the activation code from them is like having a tooth pulled - a REAL PAIN.
